A New Home for Your Writing

Introducing a new publication homepage, post page, and theming updates

At Paragraph, we want to create a space where writers can focus on what matters most — sharing your ideas — and where readers can discover great writing, connect with like-minded people, and support writers they love.

Today, we’re rolling out an improved publication homepage so new readers can quickly learn more about the author and find their best writing. We’ve also simplified the theming settings to make Paragraph easier to use for writers and to upgrade the reading experience.

Looking ahead to this year, these updates lay the groundwork for what’s to come: helping writers grow their audience, build deeper relationships with readers, and monetize their work in new ways.

Below are more details on the improved publication homepage and post page. Let us know what you think — find us on Farcaster or send a note to hello@paragraph.xyz.

New publication homepage

Your publication homepage is often the first impression readers have of your work, and we’ve reimagined it to help you showcase your writing and connect with your audience more effectively. Here are some of the new theming options for your publication homepage:

  • Featured post — highlight your most recent post, your post with the most views, or a post that describes who you are and what you write about.

  • Popular posts section — show a handful of your most popular posts so new readers can easily find your best writing.

  • Author sidebar — introduce yourself to new readers with a summary of what you write about and links to your social accounts.

Terminally Onchain

We hope the new homepage design gives you the tools to highlight what matters most — your writing — while creating a cleaner, more engaging experience for readers.

A Faster, Simpler Post Page

The new post page has been redesigned to create a cleaner, more focused reading experience. With fewer dividers, lines, and distractions, it’s all about helping readers stay immersed in your writing. Further, readers can now toggle between light and dark mode for a more comfortable reading experience. The biggest improvements, however, are behind the scenes: the new post page is faster, more reliable, and more scalable.

Reader-controlled light and dark mode.

We’re excited to explore the idea of making the post the atomic unit of value — something that bridges the gap between platforms like Medium (which bundles writers into a platform-wide subscription) and Ghost or Substack (which focus on publication-centric models reliant on recurring subscriptions and sponsorships).

The new post page provides a strong foundation for us to build in this direction. We plan to experiment with a variety of novel monetization features aimed at helping writers earn money for their ideas without having to become a full-time writer. The new post page also allows us to continue iterating on features like the Paragraph mini-app on Farcaster and other ways to help writers reach more readers.
